Life at the Sanctuary

From birthdays and school days to outings and quiet afternoons, every moment feels like home.

More than shelter

Rabia Sanctuary was established as a CSR initiative of Al-Rehman Technologies and Sunset BnB, and is operated under the Al-Rehman Welfare Trust. The home opened its doors in 2023 and gives every child a loving, structured home — and the education, health care and life skills to grow into a confident, capable and compassionate adult.

A home, not an institution

A residential care home for orphaned and socially challenged boys, run day to day as a family.

Rooted in a mission from 2008

The Trust has supported orphans and widows across Pakistan since 2008 through healthcare, education, food assistance and small-business support.

Built on what already works

Shaped by lessons from established institutions such as Darul Sukun, Sirat-ul-Jannah and Hayat-ul-Islam.

What we are here to do

Our mission

To provide orphaned children with a loving, secure home, quality education, and the values they need to build fulfilling, independent lives.

Our vision

To create a safe, valued and cherished home for every child in our care, and to inspire a wider community of compassion and support around them.

How a child comes to us

A careful process ensures every child receives the right care and support.

STEP 01

Referral

A case reaches us through a partner orphanage, our own network or social media.

Family comes first: where relatives are able to care for the child with financial support, we fund that instead of admitting them.

The day the doors opened

Rabia Sanctuary was formally inaugurated on 30th March with a ribbon-cutting by our Patron in Chief, Rabia Begum, alongside Dr. Haji Haneef Tayyab. Family, friends and well-wishers gathered to mark the beginning of a new home built on hope and a shared commitment to the children it now serves.
